Everyone has different goals and different management. I'm not saying bad. I just wanted to compare myself to y'all. No @RUNuts i dont house that densely like Kiki i wouldnt do that even to grow outs after 2 wks old. Babies yea sure.
That is something some of the Utubers do though ive seen it and said poor things, battery cagesim just not comfortable with it.
I've got 4 in each of my two bigger rabbit cages and just 3 in the smaller rabbit cage.Everyone has different goals and different management. I'm not saying bad. I just wanted to compare myself to y'all.
I have 4 in a 2'x2' giving 1 square foot per bird. Just don't see 12 in there. I also don't see me living in an apartment in the near future. Don't mind small spaces, it's the people that give me the heebie jeebies. Oh, and cockroaches. I don't like sharing space with cockroaches. It gives we great joy and mild revulsion when the hens feast on one.

I am considering 6 in a 3.75 square foot cage. Sounds like we have a plan. Unfortunately, as the poop factor increases, so does the cleaning frequency. The most i have is 6 to a 2 x 2 cage.

I have an appropriated 2 level ferret cage that doesn't have poop collectors. I put a feed bag down and Kiki's trays of wood chips as bedding. The bedding that doesn't get thrown out of the cage has to be changed. The rest is swept up and composted. I'm making more compost piles to feed the bananas! I'm getting this thing figured out. Second rack of bananas has formed, which means they will be ready in time for Thanksgiving? First rack is yellowing and should be ready any moment now. I'm trying oh so hard to be patient. I'm going to have to cut them. I'm paranoid that a squirrel is waiting for them also. The squirrels ate the sunflowers this year. Those are wire bottom cages with half the floor covered in wood then a sand bath sitting on the wood. The bath helps keep the poop from building up on the wood and i have to clean less frequently.
