DH said I have to wait until the middle of April for my quail eggs because we need to get other things done first. Plus we are going on vacation so I don't want to leave quail behind.

Yeah, understood. I can't imagine asking someone to come over to take care of the goats, ducks, guineas, chickens, dogs and quail while we vaca (not to mention the eggs involved or incubators, etc).

I have no idea, I had these weird white/whitish chicks hatch out, a couple have a faint little graying of feathers on their backs. That one white one looks like someone drew a mohawk on her head with a reddish sharpie.

I had an unfortunate mishap yesterday with my pansy/misc group while I was outside animaling.....
@Kiki will be sooooooooooo mad at me(shhhhh, let's not tell her)
They ran out of water......
I lost 6 itty bitties
I make myself so mad sometimes!!!

Oh no! When I went outside today my chicks had no water, but DH filled it last night before locking them up! Bunch of drunken water birds!

That's another reason why I can't do the quail right now because their water would probably get frozen and that would cause a whole other issue.

You might want to make sure that your water is not leaking or is not getting spilled.

It's okay poop happened sometimes.

Poop happens alot with quailies!!!

You should've seen the size of them testicles in those 5 week old birds last night!!! DFIL was even impressed when he was helping clean them.
