Can’t be they are on the outside under the feathers and they are filled with an orangeish fluid for quail have oil glands?

Edit: right near the egg chute I thought at first it was where the foam came from but the females had them as well

I still haven’t gotten over that part of butchering yet and I don’t think I ever will. It’s just so.... weird. Handling/talking about an animals testicles so nonchalantly too lmao

Also I’ve never understood what you do with them.... throw them out? Feed them back to them (THAT one seems so wrong)? Feed them to the dogs? Eat them? That one also seems wrong. Although apparently bull’s testicles are a real thing. Even a delicacy in some places.

It’s still nasty and weird to me lol

But yeah they do smell although they apparently have ones that smell less, certain brands I think, or even supposedly no smell ones. I usually order them online cause they’re cheaper and better hah

But the dogs seem to like them.

I think they’re definitely an outside treat though or at least on a towel or in a crate or something haha
