➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
you can put 24-25 in the turner and then the extras on the ends keeping your hand turning number to a minimum.....just be careful not to catch the extras with the turning rod or smashed against the edge.....can rotate them into the turner until you remove clears.....
My concern was the accidental smashing risk . :barnie

These things are ridiculous!

So let’s just say, hypothetically, someone was interested in hatching button quail but only wanted to keep one pair. What do you do with the extra? With coturnix you can just eat the extras. The fakers are so tiny though!
Asking for a friend.

Put an ad on craigslist for the extras? I'm happy with my four birds.

You holding shipped eggs on their sides is going to give me an apoplexy.
I've got a sideways incubator and this batch of eggs I got in the post... All the air cells were loose. Last time I put them all in egg cartons in the bator for a week but the air cells still floated all around. They eventually all ended up on top--the ones that developed at all. This time I just laid them all in and the cells were at the sides. Now they've migrated somehow to the broad ends where they're s'posed to be. I doesn't know how that happen't. 😐 It's probably sorcery.🔮
