My PO is rough regardless. I only have quail because of the foam shipper. Writing “Fragile” likely helped too.

Great. I normally wait 12 hours between brooder emptying. That usually spurs 3 more to hatch after I get the lid down. See you in 12 hours...

Penny.... I think I would use a smaller cap like the first one you had.
The bigger one just gives the dummies more room to jump in it and play and they're dumb they'll do it.

That's what I was thinking, the soda cap would be plenty for now.

I had a stinky egg pulled it out. Now I'm down to hardly any quail eggs.

Myshire eggs will be here on May 7th or something like that. They're pretty backordered.

Well I cracked open the two broken ones and they were both fertilised so it’s looking promising that the others will be too.

I think if it says 'FRAGILE' on the box, they toss it around more than they would if there was nothing on the outside of the box.
I've had stories told to me by UPS personnel, that if the box says 'Live Hatching Eggs' on the outside, that some personnel will shake the box to see of they hear chirping!

That is the least of what they will do to it. Some USPS employees are as bad or worse.

I've had good luck so far (on the whole) with the USPS. I do have anything fragile delivered to our PO box because I don't trust our route carrier.

Alright guys I called it. Out of 15 eggs, 4 were clears. 2 died after attempting to hatch, 2 died halfway through development, and 7 hatched. I know things I want to do differently now. I had planned to order another set of eggs but the current wait is something like 6 weeks from order. So I decided to wait until I know how many boys and girls I have and maybe I’ll just set my own eggs and see if I get better hatching results with non shipped eggs. Overall it was a good experience.
