I don't think so. That sounds like something caused by infection, but this one hatched like this. It was also malformed enough that it was missing its tail.

Edit... I'm going to have to redecorate so I can actually see them.

I had someone buy a couple of roos last week for snake food. Apparently she hasn't fed them to the snake yet and is so happy with how tame they are that she may have a couple of pets now instead of snake food.
