Using the water cups on a gallon water jug. So far the quail love it! Great deal I got on amazon that’s for sure. It’s going to help a lot when we go on vacation.

Nah it’s a different one. That one actually survived the night and came back when I was out there! I caught him and put him back for now.

You knew before you got the quail that you were going to have to kill some or rehome them or whatever....
Now is the time. You need to do it before they kill each other.

I have no problem killing them!!! I was planning to today anyway. I just didn’t know if it was worth trying to save this one or not. Now that I know it’s probably not I’ll just put him down. I might put that girl down too. She’s not really getting better but maybe it’s too soon.

Also, when I saw this injury, that just solidified it for me that today is the day some die. I just wasn’t sure if this guy should be one or not.

I’ve seen it get much worse on here for sure! That’s why I’m so careful who I put together. You guys have taught me a lot!

I don’t know if I should treat him or not. It doesn’t look too bad so I hate to just off him but at the same time, I need to off some boys anyway so idk. I’m thinking he might be one to go and then I’ll just keep the cool color ones maybe. Idk.

That video is a good one. I learned how to do it from that, then I learned other methods. I like them plucked better than skinned, but plucking takes longer. I plucked 8 of the 10 that I butchered yesterday.

I’m thinking I would prefer plucking too but idk. I read your article when you posted it and I really liked that one, very helpful, but will definitely have to watch the video too. I’m thinking I’ll probably scald them.

I don't think you should waste your time with scalding... Just rip the skin right off.... It's that easy.

Don't spend all day thinking about what you're going to do. You need to do it today.
