➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I think I accidentally made some sparkly things from my HG pansy fees and dark girl.

The dark grayish looking (thats what I'm calling them for now) things like this one:

I have one like that, but it’s silver/roux. as it’s grown, it still has that faux fluffy look from the ruffly lacing. I think yours will be beautiful as an adult with that salt and pepper look.

I’ll take a pic tomorrow when it’s light, it’s about 4 weeks old now I think.

Here are the final results of the K Dale hatch, I ended up with 32, there are so many I love, but that black one is amazing.

I managed to somehow get a black one in my last celadon hatch. I'm afraid I'm going to have to cull it, though. Last week I found it lying in the pen, unable to walk, and incredibly thin. I've been nursing, it, feeding it every hour (because it can't get up) and, while it's gained some weight back, it still can't walk. The legs work fine, but I think it can't feel or move its toes. I'm giving it until Monday to improve.

Oh no! I’d be devastated, to have such a lucky hatch only to have to cull it, it’s worse than not having it at all.

when my hatch was slowing and there were only half a dozen or so eggs left, I had to say to myself, look at all the others in there that would have made me lose my mind excited a month ago, if I don’t get a black, it wasn’t meant to be. He was like 3rd to last to hatch, and I had resolved myself to loving the big pale orange one instead.

@Kiki I was checking your feed sheet, and I see that you don't have the nutrition info for Bar Ale Game Bird Crumble (which is what I've been feeding my adults).

I also just found a new feed that you don't have on the sheet, Hunt & Behren's Gamebird Crumble.

First picture is Bar Ale Game Bird Crumble, the second is Hunt & Behrens. They're both made here in my town.
