➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Nickel and dime for reference it sits less than a cm above the floor of the incubator and the eggs don’t touch the bottom and will not turn I ended up adding the chicken turner and putting 3 in each slot turns fine I busted out my older incubator for the extra 7 eggs
Thanks for posting that....that's a 1st, never seen a turner that small. Did you buy it specifically for buttons and where, if you did?....I have to put inserts in my turners for button eggs or if using my cabinet incubators, lay them horizontal and fill a hatching tray completely full so the don't roll around.

Nope bought it for coturnix we bought it off Amazon because it was $50 so in our price range so far has not failed us yet have over 80% hatch rate on shipped eggs and almost 90% on our own eggs. I can see if I can find the link for it. They also have bigger versions of the incubator which I’m guessing the turner will be the same size.

Day 15 for Coturnix.
Candled and locked down my 24 today. Only one didn't develop at all, the rest looked good. As I've mentioned, I had one male that was pretty badly beaten up by another before I separated the bully out. I was surprised that he survived, but he's been in with two hens all along. The first time I tried to hatch any of their eggs, none were fertilized. The good news is that he's figured it out because all 6 eggs from that group are developing great.

ETA: When I opened the non starter, it appeared as if the yolk was broken. I don't think I nicked it with the egg scissors. These were my own eggs. Is it normal for the yolk to break, or is that why it didn't develop?

If it's been incubating for this long it will look like it broke.
