➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

That was me. Little did I know I'd still be doing it 3 years later.
I started just a bit before the pandemic. I'd always wanted some sort of backyard poultry, but they guy I lived with for 20 years had a rather irrational dislike of birds. When he passed away I decided to get something, but didn't really have the space for chickens and remembered that they were very messy and loud. I ended up with quail and my little grief hobby turned into something that I really enjoy.

I've started yet another playlist, this one on chick growth. I'm taking a short video every day until they're six weeks old. I have 7 days so far.

I'm hoping to eventually get a bit of income from my channel, so I'm going to plug here and say, please subscribe!
Subscribed. I'd like to suggest you hold your phone sideways instead of vertical when taking the videos. I think it looks a lot better that way, but I'll still watch whatever format you use.

Thanks. For shorts they have to be vertical, but as I make longer videos I'll use landscape more.

I have 5 cages of quail.
I collects eggs yesterday and this morning.

Sorted by egg weight.
I am going to off all birds in cages L and M.
I am thinking about setting only the green and blue eggs today along with some I pull out of the fridge.

@Ital my babies...same age as your other group are the T and R labeled eggs above.

Hey Kiki.. do you always see a direct relationship between bird and egg size? I’m thinking of selecting the smallest birds who make the biggest eggs but not sure if I’m just gonna end up with bigger birds from big eggs which isn’t what I want.

From what I’ve seen the bigger the birds the egg comes from and the bigger the egg does determine the size of the bird that hatches and grows
