Congrats! I can't wait for mine to hatch. And my little fluffers started their hatch yesterday on mother’s day... (day 16)... just checked this morning and I now have 6 little fluffs! (18 total batch)... I hope more hatch!! They are soooo darn cute!!! And one little loud one
I can see it perfectly in the photo! They’re so cute! Makes me want mine to hurry up.
Probably hard to tell in the photo but day five definitely shows some development.
That is what I did & the chicken eggs showed more fertility than expected. Look for the dark blob and the faintest of blood vessels towards the air cell. Bright flashlight is required. If any glow yellow and are markedly different from others, pull them. The 2 I pulled were not fertile on opening, confirming my theory. So yesterday was day five and I candled last night. Of the 32 eggs 3-4 looked to not be developing and another 3-4 were too dark to see much of anything. The rest looked to be developing fairly well from what I could see.
So I know not everyone candles but for those who do when do you make the call to pull the duds and get rid of them? I question my candling ability do to limited experience but wouldn’t mind getting them in the auto turner if there were few enough “good” ones left to all fit.
Sometimes you just can’t tell. Keep them in until you know.So yesterday was day five and I candled last night. Of the 32 eggs 3-4 looked to not be developing and another 3-4 were too dark to see much of anything. The rest looked to be developing fairly well from what I could see.
