Yes. They are readily available, and whatever isn’t eaten can be rehomed/a barn cat/whatever.

I love kittens but there are so many this time of year, and not nearly enough homes for them all.

My mom helped foster a batch and then ended up becoming owned by one last fall. Surprise surprise.

That’s true but they’re so cute and sweet. I can’t imagine killing one unless it was sick or weak or something.

And there’s plenty of quail, mice, rats, rabbits, etc. to feed instead

And aw yeah I’d probably have a million foster fails which is why I can’t foster lol

I couldn't personally do it either, I have a hard enough time with rabbits (incidentally, probably another good option for you if you were so inclined @BullChick ).

Yeah, it just seems wrong to me, idk why. I mean, I guess it could end up being killed by a predator anyway being a barn cat/feral or killed by a shelter if there’s not enough room so maybe it could be kinder in a way but I couldn’t do it myself. Plus I’d want to at least give it a chance. I could see if it was clearly sick or something but idk, it just seems wrong to me, to willingly give a healthy kitten to a snake. Even if it was dead first. Idk.

And yeah, I don’t think I could do rabbits unless it was dead first and even then probably not. I can’t even do meat rabbits or chickens lol

Not this type of snake, hes too finiky another kind might but im w Sean i dont have any drive to attain one. im pretty happy nabbing all the birds i can house and then a couple

Exactly!! They have so much personality and are so sweet and more companions than livestock or vermin that I just can’t imagine it haha
