Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
My power went out about 30 minutes ago.
Bator temp is down to 89 now.

Light company estimates the crew will be out in two hours.

I am going to die.

Wrap it in a blanket!
I did.
I put a few on it.

It's going to be 80 in my house before I know it so I don't think the bator will get any lower than that. Hopefully it doesn't screw them up any more.

I hope its sooner than they said and they overestimated to keep expectations low.

They should be alright.

Each time ive wrapped my bator it only lost a few degrees. The last time the power went out it was for an hour, last month with those quail eggs in there. i forgot about wrapping it up but still had an average hatch rate. I had baby chicks at the time too gavethem acouple bottles of hot water to cuddle and they were happy

Our power was out two and a half days. This however is not an uncommon occurrence which is why we have a generator. My incubator got priority of course, but it was a couple hours before I figured out that those blankets weren’t gonna help much and the power wasn’t coming back any time soon, and started hunting for (and found) an outlet with power. I had 4 ducks developing at the time and a couple days ago, 4 ducklings hatched... so, no ill effects.

The crew is here.
