āž” Quail Hatch Along🄚

These babies will not be inside too long.
I'll put them out asap.

It's too cold out now for me to go finish a cage.

Want to guess what I got done yesterday? :yesss:

If I do get eggs this week, say set on Friday the 5th, hatch on 23rd. I could still have a hatch for Valentine's Day set on the 28th. Since you have too many eggs, you understand.

And another issue, using a circulated air Hovabator 1602n, I start it dry and the humidity drops fro 55% (house) to 20% in a hour. Really pushes water out of the bator. Attempting to tune humidity.

I use the same bator. I added some torn and rolled up paper towels to the channels and that helped keep my humidity more stable.

No laughing.
:old

I kinda wrapped this box that I can place in the container for now. I zip tied the corners down to hold in in place.

My problem is how the heck and I going to clean it.:he

I'm thinking I with cut the bottom out and put paper towels down so I can just lift the box to get the paper towels out.
I'll still be using paper towels but I won't have to change them hourly.

Yes...you can have them all for the next 20 days. I'm set for now.

Kiki, you're making more work for yourself. Cut the bottom off that box and set it inside the brooder. Then all you need to do is lift it to get the towels out.
