➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Never have used Poultry Cell. If you think ot helps let us know.

I know, it's hard enough to tape pheasant toes, it's insanely hard to tape quail toes.
Get someone to hold the chick, you straighten the toes and the correct angle and push them down on a piece of tape, sticky side up, cover the top with another piece of tape and then trim the excess tape away. Easier said than done but easier with 4 hands.
I am home alone until morning.

I got a drop or so into him.
That was hard too. I'm terrified to force anything. I let him kinda take it on his own.

There is a shortage of Nutri-Drench in my area.
I tried at least 8 stores yesterday... Everyone is out.
I did get this though... I gave him a drop this morning. He did just poop the green Poop!
But his little toes... I am trying to figure out how to flatten them but geez it's hard. :barnie
The little things do not want to uncurl and I'm scared to break him. :barnie:barnie
Just compared the ingredients. Poultry Cell has Iron, 400 mg/oz. Nutri-Drench doesn't contain Iron. Other than that basically the same.
My well water contains an insane amount of iron and calcium. My birds get straight well water, water to the house goes through an iron filter, water softener than RO unit.

Yeah, it's easier if you have really small syringe, make a drop on the nozzle of the syringe and place on side of beak. Just keep trying eventually you'll get some in them.

Can you get a damp towel and try to gently wipe it off?
Yes but I'm worried that if I start jacking with him again it will make him worse.
:barnie

I'd like for him to wake the heck up before I mess with him more.
I have been putting the little cap of water food to his beak throughout the day but I don't think he has taken more that a couple of swallows of it. He did poop though so he might have gotten some when I wasn't looking.
