I hate to say it, because it'll become jinxed, but my coop has had a strange dearth of predators around it. I have a neighbour down the road a ways that had hawk problems so bad he sold out. I have maybe 2--3 attacks every 2 years. Bears targeting coops all around... they rarely come into my yard. I mean, not that that stopped me from freaking out and buying a fence. Bobcats? Again, no issues. Never had one taken by a fox, that I know of, and I've only had problems with mink/weasels twice which is frankly astonishing based off what my coop used to look like. There were 6" gaps in the rafters covered only by a tarp! That was just the beginning of it. I did used to have bad dog problems, but then the problematic neighbour moved. I was thrilled.

Even when I dump dead birds in the back property... I sometimes go check days after and they're still there. It's weird. Having dogs roaming around isn't unique to my house either. Everyone has dogs, and they're all capable of taking down small predators. No lap dogs.

Ooh! I used to have a male the same color. Not a red range, not a scarlet. Just called him a "german pastel red" :idunnoI got one chick from him before he died, but she's also blue and I can't tell whether she's carrying the same red underneath it.

I mean, kind of both. "Tuxedo" should really be reserved for birds with a good 50/50 penguin split. I don't have any, but I think @Texas Kiki definitely does if I'm remembering her birds right. Pied is a better descriptor for birds with irregular patches or a color mix tipped heavy to either solid or white. I definitely have a few of those. Sometimes I call them "semi-tuxedo" if all the white feathers are on the breast.

Beautiful birds!! :D
I offed my two Street Foods.
They were too small for needs. :hit
