a few pics of January babies! (almost 3 weeks old now) and yes I know I need to clean the brooder again

Beautiful! I got the snowie/pearl envy, man. This is my third batch of hatched eggs where they were a possibility, none so far :rant

On the feed note, I miss my startena. All the feed stores we tried in a several hour radius were out last month. This stand-in stuff doesn't ferment well at all :sick

Make friends with the feed store owner. Mine is happy to order anything I want on Sunday for a Tuesday delivery. I just have to remember to talk to him. He appreciates a regular customer (and the profit) and not having to stock another variety of feed.

I order, it gets delivered, I pay, both happy. Quail feed is a new adventure.

Oh, I get mill fresh feed too. No worry about checking the dates. :)

In the wonderful country of Texas, the feed stores stop having chicks from around Dec 12 to Jan 12, and then it's all day every day of chicks.
Really? Where are you seeing that? I thought TSC had very limited times of having chicks in house. Atwoods in Greenville has them more often but still bigger breaks Dec 12 to Jan 12. I don't think I"ve ever seen chicks at Gebo's.

BC has a dealer :gig
What do ya need? I got a few “business associates” I use.

All of the Russells Feed Stores, and any of the D and L feed stores have them all of the time except for the short break. Atwoods gets them back in around late Feb/early March I think. TSC doesn't have any until chick days.
