➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

All of the Russells Feed Stores, and any of the D and L feed stores have them all of the time except for the short break. Atwoods gets them back in around late Feb/early March I think. TSC doesn't have any until chick days.
Thanks! I've never heard of those.... I'll google. :) I figure if we are both in North Texas it can't be THAT far away! :)

Well, the humidity issue has not magically resolved itself since last hatch. :he Thought it was pretty stable but adding eggs seems to have screwed it all up again as usual. Have once again sacrificed our house humidifier to help stabilize it. Hello nosebleeds. Sorry babies. Selectively breeding for very tolerant eggs over here....

I gave my dealer the signal to begin incubating my quail. :caf Now I wait.
I didn’t wait for chicken chicks. We picked up 9.5 today. The “.5” is a weak BR. I would rather it die here than a feed store.
Your dealer?!?
That sounds HILARIOUS!
How many are they cooking for ya?

Since we're on the topic, this compilation has been invaluable to me when looking at color genetics. There is some conflicting or missing information in it, I wish it had more descriptions, but it's the most complete resource I've found. If you're interested, definitely spend time reading all the various 1-4 color gene studies they've done on coturnix too, only a google away.
I saved this to read on a rainy day and added it to post one too.

Y'all are full of good info today!
:highfive:

Really? Where are you seeing that? I thought TSC had very limited times of having chicks in house. Atwoods in Greenville has them more often but still bigger breaks Dec 12 to Jan 12. I don't think I"ve ever seen chicks at Gebo's.
My feed store (not a TSC) has fresh chicks every Thursday, year round, from Ideal.
