Do you have a picture of poop on your screen?

I have no idea what this background is but I know it's not poop.

The scarlett tuxes are gorgeous! :love Any idea what genes are in them?

Short answer: no.

Long answer:

There's a chance one copy = scarlet and two = german pastel.

There's also a chance they're the same gene but it's some other unknown modifiers that dilute them more or less.

There's also a chance they're unrelated.

I will make people who know more than I chime in on the color thread!

Also, a comment @muddy75 made on Kiki's other thread started me down a color rabbit hole.

I'm not sure how I missed it before but apparently a lot of people think roux dilute and what I've been calling silver pharoah or "tan" silver are the same gene (with different modifiers).

This is making me think back on all of my hatches. I think this gene fooled me into thinking my silvers were producing silver pharoah and confused the heck out of me when it was actually coming from my stock that carries roux.

This post confuses me.

I'm still not quite understanding what my light colored qualies even are.

I think muddy's right and that one at least is a roux dilute. You definitely have more than one type of light silver thing.

I just didn't realize roux dilutes could be so silver as opposed to warm reddish. Lots of my birds that I thought were some undescribed feather-sexable silver type (called "silver pharaoh" or "tan silver" by me and some others who've had them) might just be the same gene as my roux dilute (which explains a few things!).

I am making a post in the color thread about it to discuss it more.

Okay so my real light ones are the roux things... Does that make my gray one an SSC?
