I'm in Virginia... Not sure on the laws. I live on agricultural zoned land.

She is referring to the import laws. I do know that Virginia does require AI testing.

Thank you i forgot to say i did look it up and see that then i got busy inspecting colors.

Im not Ai tested so i cant ship to those 7 states.

A diluter gene and a wild type maybe(im not good at genetics,) but i know It is a stable color that breeds true when bred to its own color and theyre feather sexable too, either a clear breast or a spotted breast would by boy or girl. Ive gotten some in breeding one with my wild types.

They convince everyone to get quail. Actually, actively recruit I would say but often they do it so discreetly, like by posting adorable baby quail, that you don’t even realize what’s happening until it’s too late and next thing you know you’ve got quail It’s like the best little posse or cult ever

Not in my opnion. One point of my farm is to get away from the mass production techniques of the hatcheries. If more people farmed then the need for the things they have to do to the animals would be lessened. I would look for another small breeder who does have the NPIP and AI certification. Legally they must have the AI cert if theyre out of state. I couldnt do it this year as it was an extra $135 and id already put out over $250 on the gnat fiasco.
