No I'm in Virginia now... My husband and I are from NH. I moved there when I was 14. I lived in Peterborough, Hancock, Milford, and Manchester. My husband grew up in the Keene area. You are in New Hampshire now?
Where about?
I've tried different dirt and sand, my favorite is peat moss.Excellent idea!! Maybe I should give my chickens some peat moss...
Been thinking of giving them a dust bathing section. They dust bathe in the run but I’d like to make them a designated area and make it a bit cleaner ha thinking maybe a sand, peat moss, wood ash mix.
X2Mine don’t drip or leak. The vertical ones do but typically the horizontal ones don’t. It’s operated by spring I think instead of gravity so less issues. I had some vertical ones in the chick brooder (easier for them to push when they’re little) that leaked pretty badly and got it the brooder all wet/drained the bottle multiple times so I had to switch to something else but haven’t had any issues with the horizontal ones.
Do you miss the snow?No I'm in Virginia now... My husband and I are from NH. I moved there when I was 14. I lived in Peterborough, Hancock, Milford, and Manchester. My husband grew up in the Keene area.
Only about 5 inches but not all at once, it melts the next day so it's not too bad. We haven't shoveled for 7 yearsDo you miss the snow?
Or do you get that nastiness where you are now too?
I'll have to look in my own state I guess. I don't know anyone around me that has quail. I do know our farm sells them in the spring but I have to buy 50!
