My husband just told me that the quail better not be obnoxiously loud, but gave me the okay to hatch some. Not sure if I should wait till spring because I don't know the temps they can handle.

I never hear noise.
Well until I cage them by themselves.

Umm...what kind of cutting thing would I need?

Wire cutters, diagonal cutters or even a hacksaw blade. I am sure the Mex could cut a piece out and make it into a door for you. Just make sure that you get the size right the first time so it doesn't have to be revised.
