➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I have the attention span of a squirrel on meth when it comes to video games.

:lau :gig :lau that is such a random yet awesome analogy lol but tbh most of them are mindless crap anyway

I don’t really like all those bubble/candy/whatever popping mind numbing crap.

When I do play them I download like strategy cakes or life simulators or actual interactive, slighter smarter type games haha

I've never tried those. I can't think of a more boring way to spend my time.
I don't even like board games, lol. D&D always looked like something I could get into, but I don't have enough friends to play it.

Have you at least heard of them? Candy Crush? Bejeweled? Or all those dang fruit slicing games!? So stupid lol they’re all so colorful and loud and addictive though just like they designed them to be :lau

And oh wow!! Lol I used to love board games but haven’t played in years haha

And aww sorry :hugs

I can see why you don’t like them. You’re so smart and games are a waste of perfectly good time haha

But they are fun/good bonding possibly if you have people to play with but I do think the addictive colorful ones people play by themselves are stupid. I don’t think every second needs to be filled or spent doing something. People are so ADD now. And they wonder why with all the crap like that and a million ads on TV/everywhere, etc. haha there’s always a million things to look at and pay attention to everywhere you go. No wonder people can’t focus on one thing haha

And I’m being somewhat hypocritical here because I can’t really sit still and do nothing either. even just listening to music I have to be doing something else at the same time usually. I used to not have to and could just lay there and listen to whole albums and pay full attention to all the musical intricacies and everything and I still can if I really want to but now usually I get bored just sitting there.

I don't know their names, but I've seen ads.

Heh, I sure don't have any objection to wasting time other ways. Games just aren't something I have trouble resisting.

I couldn't agree more. And people wonder why I dislike being in public! Everything is competing for my attention and I hate it. I have no idea how people manage to put up with it day in and day out without any breaks.

That makes sense! They do advertise a lot haha

And ahh makes sense! :lau

Tbh I do too

I always get sidetracked or start reading something or doing something else while I’m supposed to be doing one thing. For example when I was doing the books I stopped to read some or at least back covers  a few times I went to get the eggs and started weeding the garden  or would only want to weed one tiny section and wind up doing the whole thing :lau

Oh and also for clarification, since I know my post above is probably the exact opposite of what I usually do :lau  by do nothing I mean like... literally nothing. I do sit a lot and do do a lot of “nothing” on the phone but even that is doing something. Even if it’s not what I should be doing, my brain and hands are at least occupied. If that makes sense. But if you were to just tell me to sit in a blank room and do absolutely nothing and I wasn’t allowed to have a phone or anything at all, I would probably go insane. :lau

It makes total sense now!! I never really actually thought about it like that before till now. Ever been to New York City? Super overwhelming. Especially Times Square with all the screens everywhere. :th great city but so overwhelming so I imagine that’s how you feel daily!?

I’m glad I don’t live in a city. I could never do it. I need my trees and wildlife and peace and quiet especially. I like controlling when I can go to more busy areas haha and I like cities to visit, even love, but could never live there.

Ha, I knew what you meant. I like to spend at least an hour a day doing absolutely nothing in a completely dark room. Generally at some unearthly hour of the day, because that's the only time I can grab a bit of silence. I know a lot of other people would find it unbearably boring, but I need it or I start looking a bit... crazed.

Goodness, no. I would rather die. I've been to Niagara Falls area once, but I spent almost no time outside of the car. Now that was a crazy city. The height of the buildings blew my mind.

Agreed. Being able to hear traffic when I'm in my backyard would slowly drive me batty.
