Ha, I knew what you meant. I like to spend at least an hour a day doing absolutely nothing in a completely dark room. Generally at some unearthly hour of the day, because that's the only time I can grab a bit of silence. I know a lot of other people would find it unbearably boring, but I need it or I start looking a bit... crazed.

Haha I figured Kiki was probably going insane reading it being like “what do you mean you don’t like doing nothing!? All you do is nothing!” :lau

And that’s awesome :love

I think everyone should take some time every day for some sort of relaxation type thing. Whether that’s sitting in a dark room like that or a bath or meditating or yoga or listening to music or reading or whatever. I think the world can be so stressful and some sort of destressing/just sitting and chilling is necessary!!

I don’t think I could sit in a dark room though. First of all, that would probably TERRIFY me :lau  and second of all I would just get so bored haha

I do sometimes like to lay down and nap though :lau

And if I’m in bed, I can relax and do nothing easier than if I’m just sitting or standing somewhere haha

The dark's just like a nice big blanket over you. It cuts out the visual noise that's constantly incoming. I used to actually put a blanket over my head and walk around when I was a child, but that's a little, y'know, frowned upon once you're an adult.
I like to wander around the basement and play the violin in the dark. If I had close neighbours, they'd hate me for it, I'm sure!

Goodness, no. I would rather die. I've been to Niagara Falls area once, but I spent almost no time outside of the car. Now that was a crazy city. The height of the buildings blew my mind.

Agreed. Being able to hear traffic when I'm in my backyard would slowly drive me batty.

:lau makes sense! And dude your mind would be really blown if you saw the height of actual city buildings then!! It’s insane. Honestly though, I LOVE Niagara Falls!! So much fun!! And the Canadian side is MUCH better than the American side!! The American side absolutely SUCKS lmaoooo there’s like nothing there :lau

They don’t even have backyards in the city, dude!! They have to live in apartments, often waaaaayyyyy up high, with a million other people in the building!!!

That night, I slept in a hotel directly overlooking the Falls on the Canadian side, about 30 stories up in the air. It was incredible. I couldn't believe how beautiful they were at night. I can't imagine what it must have been like before the area was built up. I wish I could go back in time and look.

Oh, right. I forgot about that. I'd rather go homeless. :sick

That’s amazing!! It sounds gorgeous!! :love

And yeah same :lau

Tbh I do too

I always get sidetracked or start reading something or doing something else while I’m supposed to be doing one thing. For example when I was doing the books I stopped to read some or at least back covers  a few times I went to get the eggs and started weeding the garden  or would only want to weed one tiny section and wind up doing the whole thing :lau
I'm the opposite. Once I start something, it takes a nuclear bomb to get me to stop, even if I should probably reprioritize. Otherwise, my mental to-do list just gets so messy that I can't take it.

Also, what do you mean they're not actual city buildings?? New York City just got crazier in my mind.

Well it’s weird cause once I start something I don’t jump around and spend forever on it but I just often start something I didn’t mean to

I look at it as didn’t realize that needed to be done but realized it while out there haha

Once I decide, that's when I start the clock. I'd get nothing done if I constantly reshuffled priorities.
