I actually went out almost a week ago and told them they were going to start dying in batches of five till I got eggs

I think it varies here in the states too. Mine were all laying everyday by 8 weeks, the boys started crowing at 3 weeks!

My daughter ran in yesterday and said dad your not gonna believe what I saw I said what did you see
She said I seen quail breeding I asked how she knew she said one was on top of the other like the ckickens do lol

Oklahoma. I'm using supplemental lighting, that's probably helpful since we don't have alot of daylight hours this time of year.

I gave a warm bath to the female quail that was fully scalped and with bruised leg. She enjoyed it, was calm and happy, fell asleep in the towel right after, then an hour later woke up and was just sitting calmly on the chair. Her scalped head is recovering very fast. Both have blood on the nostrils, I tried scraping it today but it started bleeding more. Don't know what to do with this...
