➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Why not? There are people and societies that see nothing wrong with eating dogs.

Because I love them and they’re pets to me. India thinks cows are sacred but I still down hamburgers and steaks and tacos. I’m sure they would be horrified.

They should all get sick each time they eat a dog.
That's too gross to me.
They should eat cats instead.

:lau

I like cats too. But hate cleaning litter boxes. I think it’s gonna be barn cats for me from now on lol

When a large number of Vietnamese moved to Casper, the in town population of stray cats greatly decreased.

 :th OMG!

Have you read it? :oldLooks serious!

So I'll have toddler sized turkeys fighting over cleavage! Great! I created monsters, it was just the perfect snuggle though:confused:.

Is KDOGG starting a Book Club & you'll be the Leader?

If I'd had my necklace on with the poult laying there it would have looked like a turkey pendant!!!

:lauThanks for that clarification!!!
Yum, dog, the other white meat!!!:sick

:oldIs your "Book Club" open to all? Do you have fiction or non-fiction?:pop

Yes it is open to all!! :D

And I have all sorts of books!! Just about every topic!! :D

I'm reading it right now.
Only on chapter 3.
I believe it's pushing for a better diet...not necessarily vegan or vegetarian but just over all eating less meat and way more fruits and vegetables.
I really like it so far.

Seems like a good book.

Toms can get to the 30 lb. range while the hens may end up anywhere from 10 to 20 lbs live weight.

Be careful wearing jewelry around your pet turkeys as they can be prone to pecking at and swallowing shiny things.

Wow much smaller than I thought!

How many do you consider to be too many? I have about 4,000. I have a room that is my library, but my computer room has a lot of shelves full too. I have too many that don't fit on shelves.

Ever hear of roof rabbit? I believe it was commonly served during the French revolution.

That's how I ended up with bacon wrapped, oven barbeque'd quail for Christmas dinner. She volunteered. As soon as I saw her seriously pecking at all of the younger birds I grabbed her and put her in the sink while I got the shears out.

Holy mackerel! I thought I had a lot. :th

I had like practically a whole closet full. Now I have a whole bookshelf full and tons spread across/piled on the floor next to my bed. I could probably fill at least one or two more bookshelves.

Definitely not thousands but at least hundreds. Maybe singular thousand. Idk. I’ve never counted them. But piles and piles lol

:droolExactly!
:highfive:

Oh, and there is no such thing as "too many books", just saying.:pop

Good point! But mine take over the floor and closet. :lau

I pulled them all out to sort them which I did but never finished putting them away. And now they’ve gotten all knocked over and mixed up and unsorted again haha

I'm reading my recent posts and thinking how much my attitude has changed from six months ago when I didn't think I could possibly kill a quail.

I’ll probably be the same lol

I Iike sleeping baby turkey photos.:D

X2!

How many babies do you expect?
I've got 2 that look like they should kid this week or next, but I don't know if they throw singles, twins or triplets when kidding. Guess I'll know soon enough. These 2 are the ones expecting.... (this was last week)

@Kiki if you’re serious about the book thing, tell me which ones you want and I’ll mail you some. :D

I have tons more too that weren’t in that picture that I can tell you lol

A list of all the books would probably be like a mile long though. :lau

But you could tell me a category and I could take a picture lol

Or if anybody else wants any, I can mail anyone them too :lau

View attachment 1989902 Look what I got so I can keep them separate when they hatch
Tried that, didn't work. If you don't take them out before they find their feet, they will jump those. Either give them a lid or higher walls.

Be careful not to block air flow and create hot and cold spots. Solid floor and solid walls are concern.

There are slits in the side and I’m going to buy some bands to put on them so I know what’s what
