Supposed to be 16 to 18 days but I'm using finches as fosters and the chicks took 22 the first time and 26 days the second to hatch under them.

Ikr? I don't know why, but I'm wanting to hatch some too!!! What to do? What are they good for? Just being "cute as a button"? "Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew?"

Look what I got today. I only "had" 3 quail laying hens....

4 of these eggs came from pens with 5 1/2 week old Pharoah hens! I love it, more eggs for the bator, feather~sexable & sexlink if the boys are working.

Awesome!! Isn’t that young for them to start laying!? So cool they start so early!! Even 8 or 12 weeks would be early compared to chickens but 5 1/2 is amazing!!
