I just posted two new videos.
Bond... They both are moving it just looks like the Pansy Fee egg is behind.
Not as developed or the veins aren't as strong looking.

I’m still on the hunt for the right lady for Hugo. The ones which were planned never went ahead due to travel issues.

To be honest though I don’t know how he’d react. He was raised with Silkies and has never seen another Quail.

Also he’s 19 weeks old yet never produced a single bit of foam in his life. I’m guessing it’s only produced if there is females around.

We have Roul Roul in an aviary near him and he seems pretty interested when they call maybe we’ll have Roul Roul Quail babies if all else fails.

If I get females and all goes to plan, I can join in with the thread again!

As you can tell...he needs some ladies

He comes for cuddles with me because he’s such a wuss. Runs to the front of his hutch to come and see me. He does this odd hop skip thing and he’s never learned how to fly up like a normal quail. He literally walks off the end of the table and doesn’t use his wings

I was meant to be getting those Tuxedo females I mentioned a while back which also fell through...he’s having no luck poor guy.

Sorry that was meant to say incubator! I just set them in the incubator on the 25th, so hey are due to hatch on he 10th of feb!

QB#9 Malted Milk Ball Day 7 update:
29 started with 5 fresh and 24 refrigerated

From the 5 fresh eggs:
B1 & HG developing.
T was clear
B2 & P have bloodrings

From the 24 refrigerated eggs:
9 developing HG
1 with a bloodring
14 clears

Totals:
11 developing and good movement of on most of these. The little swimmers are going at it.
18 pulled

Added 12 QB#10 Set1 Myshire Jumbo eggs. Only one hen laying, so these are all brothers & sisters. A little past the 10 day window, but Valentine's Day Hatch.

15 clears and 3 EQ...11 might hatch.

I fixed the second batch count too.
Is it time to candle for clears on the second batch yet?

The first is falb fee from the post office abused batch. The second is from my home grown SSC pen, the last is from my home grown mixed pen. The ones from my mixed pen are pretty hard to see into. I candled four or five of them and this was the best one.
