➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I was hoping to get photos of the female also today while I was giving them a full check over but she was having non of it. Firing her feathers at me like a porcupine 😅

The Male still wasn’t happy with being caught but he was pretty chill once I had a hold of him so here’s Origami.

Still no eggs yet but I think these birds aren’t that old and have never laid/bred before. I don’t know how old they are but compared to the others that were for sale, the two I got were half the size of the other pairs.

I don’t clip the wings of my birds but for the safety of these two I have. How flighty they are is just too risky when they are housed in woodland. Keeping them clipped I have a better chance of getting them back if they do manage to shoot out.

I meant how much to charge to incubate them. Maybe I would make it really cheap like $5/20 or something like that. Free for repeat customers.
There's a guy south of me who keeps advertising on CL to hatch eggs in his cabinet incubator, he asks $1/egg and has some requirements regarding the egg, not dirty/covered with mud/etc

I put black nail polish on his leg. I don't know if it will stay, but I want to mark that boy.
Drop of food coloring on his back? Or put him in a separate brooder with opposite color fluff buddies so he's the only one that color
