➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Turned the incubator off today, had a few eggs that didn’t hatch. My hatch was 28 in total but sadly 1 had died it looks like it’s tummy wasn’t closed up properly or something not sure. It had a shiny patch if wet looking skin on its tummy.
Remind me please... where did your eggs come from?

The female will be used to me handling her by the end of the week...:barnie

:lau

Any particular reason? Lol

I’ve done that before except I usually don’t get up before 9-9:30 most of the time. :lau

Today was like almost 11 🙈 but I was super tired. But then I was almost late to my appointment because I was on my phone instead of getting ready then tried to eat/get ready at the last second. 🙈

Then I decided to go to the store instead of going home and accidentally spent like 2-3 hours there :lau
It's freezin' is the reason! 😜 But now I'm up making chili, putting wood on the fire, doing laundry and dishes and soon out to do my chores for an hour in this freaking cold blast.

Probably a good idea especially considering how I impulsively acquired several animals. 🙈

But I don’t really want to force the direction of the thing. Idk.

Also it hasn’t been that bad lately.

But it kinda relates to another thing we’ve been working on so I might bring it and a third thing up. Think they all go together.

I think I might be fooling myself here. Clearly it’s still bad considering I am still doing it and how l spent a lot on Amazon yesterday. And how whenever I go into a store I go crazy.

Might return the Amazon stuff when it gets here though.

Also sorry for being so vague with that post. I just didn’t want to derail the thread or get too personal or whatever.

But I think the impulsivity is definitely a big concern.

Especially considering I also have several bad/dangerous driving habits.

I don’t know if that counts as impulsive or not and it’s not what I was referring to before but still bad.

I definitely have problems controlling myself. With many things.

But I do think the first thing should probably be the job which she’s helping me working on but idk.

Maybe impulse should be first.

Treat them daily.

Defiantly!

To be honest I’ll do them twice a day and wash with swarfega on a morning. I attempted to treat them on the day I got them home but the female was so stressed from the long day/journey. Now that she’s settled in she’s easier to handle.

Last thing I want is her dropping dead from stress while I’m treating her. I do it in the dark but she’s wise of my ways already :gig

Scaly leg isn’t really a bad thing to treat for me it’s just annoying people sell birds with it rather than treating them then selling them.
