Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
Except three of the five eggs from my hens that I've tried to boobcubate have begun to develop, including OG boobegg, and 1 is currently in my bra and growing well so far. Plus I had some eggs from a friend's totally unrelated game pair. I don't think it was my breeding stock at all. I could be wrong though, but I think it was just bad luck.
I wouldn't call it bad luck. It most likely has to do with temperature and humidity.

Really?

I would rather use an incubator. Shoving eggs in your bra... I'd think it would be uncomfortable.
Not having the proper equipment, I am not qualified to argue the comfort aspect. When it was used successfully in the past, it was with only one or two eggs or as an emergency method during a late stage power outage. I may be wrong but suspect that @BantyChooks may be familiar with the last situation.

I personally know of someone who managed to hatch a hen in her boobs from a grocery store egg, the hen is now 5 years old and doing well. I've also heard of another 2 people who managed to do it as well. Not everyone has the dedication and that's fine, but let's not pretend that losses don't happen in the best of bators too. :jumpy:

Well I can understand in an emergency situation.

Bras are uncomfortable and adding an egg to it would be even worse šŸ™ˆ should try one sometime šŸ˜‚ just kidding

I wouldn't even be trying again had the chicks from the last attempts not been perfectly formed. The fact that they even pipped tells me it can be done, I just need to find out what went wrong.

I get 90% hatch rates with my eggs and incubator. That's 1 egg out of 10. I say that is better than other hatch rates.

Infrared temperature guns are not a reliable or accurate temperature measuring device.
I missed this part.
I agree... I tried one of those and I can't remember how off it was but I do remember that it sucked.
