Good Luck, and i have a question. why does a lot of people on this thread say buttons are crazy?

I have actually never raised them before, so I am not sure I hope they arent too crazy though!!! What do you think?

They are less tame and more reactive than Coturnix quail. Their neurotic behaviours are stronger, and they display more instinctual behaviour than inquisitive.

I don't consider them to be crazy, but then again, I also have a heavy background in ornamental indoor birds.

Because they have a lot of energy. Have you ever done quail?

This is my first time just doing regular cot quail and They are insanely fast and tons of energy They wear me out just looking at them

They are a lot flightier, energetic, and harder to tame than coturnix quail.

Their just naturally neurotic...you'd be too if you were that small and everything in the world wants to eat you!

Do you think if I handled the buttons daily they would be more tame? And should I clip their wing feathers?

I had quail chicks that one of my banties hatched out they were insanely fast and dissaperead after a few days. they were California quail
