All will be well, and that will be well is well.
When I lived in central FL, fairly near Plant City (big strawberry-growing area there), they would spray (water) when a frost was predicted. There would be these perfect blossoms and leaves and little berries encased in a thin sheath of ice. I think it depends on the plant as to how the ice needs dealing with, but for the strawberries, they just allowed them to defrost naturally. It has worked for me. There were mornings that I came out to find the plants encased in ice. I just hosed them down until the ice melted without getting any frost damage. The key is to make sure everything is well thawed before the sun hits them.
