Btw apparently they can track you. but not just cops, anybody!!! Actually, I’m sure for cops they have much more advanced technology than this making it easier.

Apparently you can fake your location though. But not anymore apparently at least with Apple because it doesn’t work after version 12 OS. they’re up to like 13 something now.

According to this one they can’t at least for iPhones and at least for live real time GPS tracking. You have to enable remote tracking by putting your phone into emergency mode by calling 911. They specifically designed it to not be able to be done without your permission and so it can’t be remotely enabled. User safety I guess???

But they can of course triangulate your location using cell tower data but it’s much less accurate.
