I like trying new things. He has the same bator so I will try it. I get pretty good hatch rates hand turning, but the turner makes it convenient for me

Yep, I have better hatches...less chance of the chick getting 'stuck' in the shell.
As the chick starts zipping, the turner keeps the whole egg from turning with the chick.

My friends duck hatch has been horrible. I think it’s more because of how he stores the eggs and his breeding stock. All my other hatches have been great.

Just turn the turner off, otherwise, they can get caught between the rails. And they can't play soccer with the other eggs.

Today is lockdown for my mixed pen experiment batch. My boy obviously has too many girls.
I pulled 7 clears, so 9 went into lockdown.

I have 5 hatched so far from the SSC batch. One pipped, then made a bigger hole, then died.
