Awesome thanks!! I will look into itI have the Rite Farm 1200. It's small capacity, but I like it better than my Hovabator, to be honest. I still use it for button quail. The first one I got had a broken turner, and when I contacted them they told me they were shipping a replacement and not to bother returning the broken one. I expected a new turner. They sent me a whole incubator. That means that I have one that I use as a hatcher, which is really convenient when I want to separate celadon from regular eggs.
Idk about the others, but between the Kebonnix and nr360, hands down nr360. I’ve heard some people like the Kebbonix, but others have to wrap it in coats and blankets to get it to stay consistent.Which small Rite Farm do you have? Do you like it? I am thinking of replacing my crappy one for a more consistent one. I am looking at the Kebbonix or Nurture Right…any thoughts on either of these?
I'll admit, I don't like the turning system in those models. I prefer the rails.Idk about the others, but between the Kebonnix and nr360, hands down nr360. I’ve heard some people like the Kebbonix, but others have to wrap it in coats and blankets to get it to stay consistent.
Okay that’s good to know! The reviews on Amazon seem mixed and I don’t want another one that’s inconsistent. I tested a theory with my most recent hatch and I’m finding that there appears to be an issue with the eggs that go on one side of the incubator than the other. Despite having several thermometers that I’ve calibrated. Not sure what’s going on, but the eggs on one side always hatch fine. So annoying.Idk about the others, but between the Kebonnix and nr360, hands down nr360. So you're saying you made this "mistake" so that you could justify the purchase of an incubator you wanted all along? Yup, been there too.I've been wanting this incubator for about 6 months. It's not exactly an impulse buy. I just bought it a bit sooner than I was planning on.
Hopefully I'll be able to sell all of the chicks!
The first win was a mistake. The second win was the excuse. So you're saying you made this "mistake" so that you could justify the purchase of an incubator you wanted all along?
The Rite Farm for 24 chicken eggs is only $80 at the moment…which is a good size for my needs. If you were happy with the hatch rates and consistency of heat and humidity I might be tempted to make the purchase. I’d really like better hatch successes!I'll admit, I don't like the turning system in those models. I prefer the rails.
Just remember to rely on your calibrated thermometers and not the readings on the incubator itself. Yes, I’m obsessive with the thermometers haha. Now that I found someone who will take my males…the itch to hatch more is greater hahaJust remember to rely on your calibrated thermometers and not the readings on the incubator itself. I got good hatch rates with it.
