Like oegb must be dubbed for show. Can't even compete intact. It's the standard

Cold morning (not in summer their blood is thin and they will bleed more and in morning before they are active lower blood pressure) wrap them in a towel like a cocoon have someone hold them trim the earlobe, then wattle then the comb from behind where their head and comb meet on the back cut straight up and off then hold comb in left hand cut front to back as tight to the head as you can then trim to make pretty and rounded then dunk head in bucket of water to make the blood vessels constrict to stop any bleeding. Usually if it's cold it might ooze a little blood if even that usually it's barely any. Don't trim in the summer it'll look like a murder scene (and I'll prolly vomit ) lolTake a video.
We want to learn.
That's too bad. I think they look far more beautiful intact. Your birds are gorgeous regardless, but I prefer combs and wattles on a rooster.tradition. It doesn't look like a gamecock if left natural. My wife hates if they're not dubbed she says they look goofy if left intact. And yes it was removed when fought so the opponent couldn't bill. Hold them down with thier beak
I can't even get behind it for dogs. The only part that makes any sense to me is making sure you have permission from a landlord if you do not own your home, which is what the Humane Society does. There are a lot of great rescue organizations, but not many of them outside the Humane Society exist in Washington anymore. That’s crazy!! For dogs I can kind of understand since they want to make sure you have a safe/secure house and yard/place and the dog isn’t going to get loose or be used as a breeding machine or left outside or abused or whatever but for goats that is ridiculous.... they are farm animals lol granted, they obviously still need shelter but I bet those people would want a massive full sized horse quality barn and a little run in shed or dog house igloo shelters would be unacceptable LOL and not allowed to breed!? What the heck!? What good are the females then? Most people get female goats specifically for breeding. If they don’t want to breed, they get males. So I don’t see why they would limit it. Especially since it’s not like it hurts the goats or like they have a million babies. Intact dogs and cats can have a million babies so I can see why they’d want them fixed but most people just breed goats for milk/production and the babies are super cute and easy to find homes for... so that’s just ridiculous lol probably crazy, overly emotional/sensitive people who think it is somehow mean or abusive or something to “make” an animal have babies lol
it's gotten out of hand what they demand from a potential adopter. It's like they are the only ones good enough to own an animal. And their way is the only way.I can't even get behind it for dogs. The rescue folks here are out of their minds. They typically don't even let you pick your own dog. Instead, they have you fill out an application and they match you up. This can take months. Then, they demand to come to your home to make sure that your living space meets their insane standards. They have dogs in foster care for years because they don't think anyone is good enough. I find the whole thing decidedly off putting. That being said, there are a ton of fantastic groups out there that do amazing things for abused, abandoned, and mistreated animals. I support them fully!
Agreed. I'm very thankful to have a lovely local rescue that has realistic standards. Surprise surprise... the dogs actually get homes!I can't even get behind it for dogs. Any reason why you can't breed for Chantecler-sized facial gear? That still too big?Cold morning (not in summer their blood is thin and they will bleed more and in morning before they are active lower blood pressure) wrap them in a towel like a cocoon have someone hold them trim the earlobe, then wattle then the comb from behind where their head and comb meet on the back cut straight up and off then hold comb in left hand cut front to back as tight to the head as you can then trim to make pretty and rounded then dunk head in bucket of water to make the blood vessels constrict to stop any bleeding.
