➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That was a hungry monster eating a chicken killer.

He was very scary looking up close.
A friend of mine had one of those land in her lap when she was on the back of a motorcycle. The rider hit it as it was lifting off and it snapped a corner off his windshield and the dead vulture landed in her lap. Nasty things by good clean up crew!

Good. Don't start.
It will kill you.

Don’t intend to lol first of all, don’t like the taste (had a few sips a few times) and second of all, and the main reason actually so it should be first of all lol, is family history haha

:old
Only in excess!

How on the world are we still alive after our early twenties?
I could party back to back all weekend and not even miss a beat.

I must really be getting old.
:hit

It happens to the best of us :hugs
At least we're smarter than we were in our twenties, right?

If I didn't smarten up I'd be long dead.

:lau like my brother says, in college you get a pass; if you don’t slow down after college there might be a problem. :lau

This may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway. For chicks that are 5 weeks old, the feathers they have at that point.... will they change much or grow in differently or pretty much stay the way they are with little variation? Does that make sense? For example: My lakeshore egger chick was yellow as a chick. Her feathers came in white. Is it a safe bet that she will continue to be white as she becomes an adult?

On Meyer Hatchery website says, "Because the Lakeshore Egger has been developed out of several breeds, chick color can vary from yellow to buff and some even have a dark stripe down their backs. Adults of this breed can be white with buff or red patches or nearly solid red with some black."

She is just solid white. I'm not seeing any patches or hints of color at all. It's just a curiosity thing for me.
Here's a pic of her. It may be silly but I LOVE her little mohawk/tuft of hair she has.
