It is raining here...cats and dogs!!! Started just 20 minutes ago and there is already more than 1/2 inch in the gauge. Weather man predicted 1.5 today.

Sure glad Maggie's nest is situated in the highest section of the front yard under the Scotch pine and several other trees...with a big rock to block the blowing rain!
She was off the nest this morning to eat and bathe.

Took Aleve and a muscle relaxer at noon because my joints are sore and my muscles are tight.

I peeked at a couple eggs but they didn't look too good.
I went for a sandwich.

Uh oh.... they have now learned how to jump on top of the MHP... we also had one escape artist earlier! Unsure how long she was out for but all of a sudden I heard all this loud peeping and go to check it out and she’s pacing next to the brooder, yes OUTSIDE IT, freaking out. they may have to move outside to the bigger brooder sooner rather than later! Lol they are getting VERY active!! Zipping and jumping all over the place.

I have all the eggs you could possibly want to incubate....although it would take the full 28 days...you would probably die from the daily stress.....

Put a cookie cooling rack on top of their tub. Weight it down with a water bottle so the little buggers can't knock it off. Use rulers or thin slats to give the rack extra stability.

3:28 and we are over an inch in the rain gauge.
Can't work outside so I'm working on office filing and cattle records.

Next is the state sales tax refund for Hubby's VA disability.
He started his new injectible med for arthritis. It is Humira. It will be 4 to 6 weeks before he gets enough of it in his system....Sure hopes it works...his toes, fingers and elbows are really swollen and warm.

I think we, Texas, have had two tornadoes touch down so far.
Crazy.
One just southwest of me...too close for comfort but far enough away.
I'm on the edge of the storm .haven't seen a drop of rain yet.
