➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I think this system is heading my way next (in TN). Starting tomorrow, we're supposed to be getting about 7in of rain over the next few days. I'm hoping nothing too severe tho.
Yes. Seems like there have been a lot of flooding storms this year. Hope you are on high ground and spared the high winds, hail and tornadoes in this system!
Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri are getting fewer tornadoes than usual. Seems Tornado Alley is moving more to the east....climate change may be affecting that. Our temperate zone has changed over the past three years from zone 6 to zone 7.

Awwww so cute!!

Our rain didn't really start until 5 am, but storms west of us were spawning tornadoes in Oklahoma around 11 pm.
Tornadoes in NW Texas were numerous!
Flooding from Texas into Okla and Kansas.
Hope everyone is safe!
We have 2.5 inches already with more coming...on top of 4.8 we got this weekend...ponds are overflowing and creeks are rolling. The ducks love it, but chickens don't.

Wow that is scary!! And A LOT of rain!!

Stay safe!! Wonder if it is coming this far north.

Wow that is odd. I think our zone has changed too though.

Technically the cereal has way less sugar.... but then the ingredients are kind of gross... and I guess the milk counts towards the sugar content too... especially since I usually have WAY more than the serving size on everything so probably way more sugar... goes for the honey too. The ingredients on the cereal aren’t as bad as I thought though but is boxed really worse than real but sugar loaded? The option I decided on for myself is yogurt with honey and blueberries again or the cereal. The cereal seems like it wouldn’t be worse. But then again I guess the milk could cause sinus issues. Idk. :barnie It looks so tasty though.

Also went out tonight but what I got wasn’t bad.

Did you eat it?!
I can't eat cereal because both of the Grain and the dairy make me sick to my stomach now that I have quit eating them. I used to eat a bowl every night when we'd watch our late night shows and once I stopped, I lost 7lbs in 2 weeks and I felt so much better in the morning! I was no longer starving when I woke up and I can say that I truly did not realize how awful I was feeling until I finally learned what it was like to feel GOOD. I bet if you watched what time you ate, that would be a good start. Don't eat anything after 7 pm. I don't think the cereal is that bad, but the timing is.
Excellent information. Sorry, Glitter. I'm going to see how my Russian Orloffs and Cream Brabanters grow out. If I like them, I may start breeding them for fun. I will send free hatching eggs to whoever wants them.
DEAL!! :highfive:
:woot
The last hatch of ducklings made a great escape yesterday from their brooder!
They were exploring the hot tub room while I was getting my eyes checked.
Thankfully they didn't make a big mess and came quickly for water and food. They are now housed in a taller tub.

Maggie's eggs are still incubating. Candled again as I took the some chicks out. Lots of activity in their shells.
:yesss:

I didn’t either but I saw a post Kiki made in another thread that was kinda vague but referenced bad weather and rain so then when I was Googling my own weather (curious what the temp got to today and wanted to double check tonight’s temp... paranoid about the chicks lol), that article popped up so I clicked it since it said Houston. Was wondering where everyone was. Now I know. Dealing with that. Absolutely terrifying. I too hope everyone is staying safe.
The rain has stopped for now and the water is going down buttttt more rain is on the way. We usually only deal with this dumb flooding issues later in the summer. We are starting early this year. We better not get a dang hurricane again this year.

I know you don't want to go to bed on a full stomach because that's just asking for reflux and poor sleep. But snacking near bedtime is also typical of people staying up too late. Your body is sending fatigue signals and rather than giving it rest, you're taking in more fuel to offset that fatigue. But you don't need fuel, you need rest!
