➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Crazy way to spend a Sunday morning! Moving cows.

The recent rains had washed out a low water crossing at our 160 in Prague. Hubby and his brother hauled the tractors over there and put in a 24 foot tin horn ...took two days. So plans were to bring home 17 cows and 9 calves to wean today. Would take two trips with three trailers...each of us pulling a trailer. Roger and Larry were hauling cows and I would haul the calves.
Of course we got them all in the loading pens easily and started loading into the trailers....not concerned about matching the pairs since they were all coming home to the same pasture.
Rain was forecast for noon, but it moved in quicker and hit just as we were coming home with the first batch. We could not just leave cows and calves in the loading pens so we had to go back in the rain and lightening to get the rest of the herd. Finished by 10:45. :th

My girls didn't like aloe vera either. But did like the vinegar.

Yeah it feels horrible haha so gross and sticky. I think that’s the worst part. I hate it. Plus I read the ingredients and it’s got like all sorts of chemicals/colors/fragrance, at least the one I got, and that doesn’t seem like the greatest thing to be putting on lol but mostly it just feels gross. Even after it soaks in. Maybe the vinegar will be better.

I am going to thaw some elderberries today and begin making some elixor...got to free up some freezer space for the birds I need to process.
May also make something with some frozen blackberries.

Oh and the captured bee swarm is loving their new bee hive home. The pastures have loads of vetch and clover right now.
This reminds me of @jwyles I hope she is finished with school for the summer and comes back.
