➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

@RUNuts Are you going to watch the firework show?
Nope. :hmm

They started at twilight in the neighborhood. Lots of American money and Chinese gunpowder. Must have new neighbors. They are hammering it. Remember, I'm NOT in the city limits. And neither are the neighbors.

I went to the duck kennel. Turned around and 2 dogs were saying "protect us". What are you doing in the duck kennel??? Got them out. Duck is fine. Pushed under the kennel to be protected. These are NOT gun dogs.

I have another rose that changes color also. It is a Campfire rose. It starts out as a yellow bud with red tips, opens into a yellow rose and then gradually turns more and more red as the day goes on.

Aw, my grandmother had one of these. She had quite a few roses but I remember that one more than most. I know she was into collecting special varieties and told me all about a lavender one she was quite proud of but it's right at the edge of my memory and the details are fuzzy.

Cleaned the brooders yesterday and moved growing chicks to the barn.
Will begin the sorting process this morning after I resolve some computer issues! Wifi is dropping my IPad as I'm trying to set up my hubby's Patient Portal with the heart hospital...been on the phone with the portal provider...new technology can be frustrating to this old woman! :he:caf:oops:
Almost used all the battery on the iPad so having to recharge it.

While I was mowing the weeds in the corral this morning, the doe came back and was watching me with her twin fawns. Unfortunately they were not very cooperative once I got the camera out.

@R2elk you look like you have a beautiful place!! :love MY family has been in NOLA for 300 years and I have been torn my whole life between staying here, where I feel I belong, and moving to the country, where I think I would rather be. I really should have been born 200 years ago when the family had both. :lau
