I really like this one. I see a lot of ACV usage that makes me go “hmm,” not just for chickens.ACV in water. There is actually a really interesting and robust peer reviewed literature on the possible benefits (and negatives) of acidified drinking water for poultry. And I would love to see you do a BYC article that sorts fact from fiction.
Also, PLEASE bore us with your research findings.
Nutty, you crack me up. I laughed way too loud at this at 6am this morning.Focusing on free range versus grain fed a lot. How about fast food versus vegetable based diet. Grain free / gluten free versus the cave man diet (keto or paleo or word of the month). Throw some people are animal topics at her. Even pigs will get tired of doughnuts after a week. Fat and malnourished? That was the one that puzzled me. Good luck.
Oh, right. Chicken topics. Um. High protein versus normal for broiler production? Nutrition of eggs compared based on feed - grass versus bag. Does grass make chickens happy?
I’m definitely gonna write a paper on how poor diet effects a pig’s ability to catch criminals.
My professor told us that she’s “not a poultry person.” Do you think if I bring her a 3 course chicken dinner it’ll change her mind? You know how you always see "Vegetarian Diet" listed on eggs and whole chickens at the store? I think a research paper on how chickens are not vegetarians would be interesting. Raise one bird on veggies only, one bird on an omnivorous diet, and one on nothing but the finest steak. Rare.
When they reach, say, 8 weeks old, butcher them and cook them all the same way. See if they taste different.
Oh, wait. You probably don't have a few months to get this project in order... I like Bone's ACV snopes idea better.

I actually had no idea that they sold “vegetarian diet” eggs and chickens.
