➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Christian name!?

And adult rabbits!? :th

When we got him he was Ferocious! I swear the only way he got attention mustve been as kids played real mean and rough with him. Didnt take him long to discover that he wanted to be held and pet but still the name stuck. Then we got him fixed and hes actually sweet now

I had an old pic maybe i can get it off the cloud at some point. My cats Have to wormed regularly as they are constant hunters. One was like half grown the second was bigger.

I have a super accurate digital kitchen scale. It's not easy to weigh a cat on it (I use a container and tare method with a lot of patience!) It's good up to 25#, I think?

Our previous barn cat Sparkle took down a grown rabbit at least once, I found her in the driveway eating it around midnight. She wasn't a big cat at all! But, she knew how to kill an animal quickly. I had the great luck of seeing her catch a mouse once. She was still, then miraculously airborne, then had it pinned. There was no playing, she just dispatched them immediately and off with their heads. That was the cat that was dumped with a flea collar and no ID so we knew nothing at all about her other than she seemed to need a home.

I almost bought a better one and sometimes i wish i wouldve but this one has served its purpous pretty well.

Thats incredible! Wish i could watch them hunt. One day.

Im sure glad you kept her and apparently she is too she keeps your house rodent free im sure!

This guy was at the apartment complex my ex worked at and everyone knew it was this coworkers cat he jus got tired of it and put him out. Wasnt feeding him or anything and the ex really liked him. So i told him he could have the cat as long as he got him fixed. He did and then he moved out and i was glad to keep the cat. Wasnt cute walkin in the vets office saying, "im here to pick up D*ck"

Moral of the story, even if your a crazy twenty something and its been 10 barren years since you know that Drs told u you cant have children, dont name a pet an inappropriate name, it doesnt work out well.

Inappropriate vet story. I saunter in to pick up the wife's dogs. The lady behind the counter casually asks if I'm ready to give her all my money. I responded by saying that I didn't know we were dating, much less getting married. Got a big grin.

I don't know if she was waiting to be asked out or not, she was being very sweet during the check out and dog hand over ceremony. I feel that I had a better than average chance at that point. Run, don't walk, run away!

I used to know a guy with a dog his dad had named sh*tbird. It was so awkward calling the dog. So, as funny as it is in the moment to give a pet a name like that, it should be a nickname only so people at the vet's office don't stare. :gig

And Sparkle cat was a true gift. We weren't even considering a cat when she showed up and made it clear she was interested in staying. Hubby (Mr. No Cats) was the one who ran to the store for cat food after discovering that she liked our big dog just fine and would tolerate toddlers picking her up and lugging her around. She was tortoiseshell with white socks, chin, and blaze. A really cute cat.

And after she passed, the mouse population skyrocketed. We're HOPING Ziggy can be of assistance. I've tried many types of trap and always have several set up but the problem never ceases.

Oh man i bet that was a bad dog name :lau

Yes it sounds like Sparkle was a gift, was she spayed? Is Ziggy also a street cat? She sounds like she was beautiful and efficient :love

I kind of think ill need a trio of street kittens to defend my next property. Cats always disappeared at that place. The guy across the st has lost like 10 over 35 years i lost two in 4 years. Here is *Richard*

And i went thru like 500 of the 5k pics in the cloud. No luck on finding the first rabbit pic and i know i couldnt take pics the second time. I remember being upset about it but not why my phone or i was tied up. I know he weighs more than my 7# BLRW rooster

My scale has the tare feature but it only weighs up to 12 lbs. The better one was twice as expensive but went up to 30lbs. I was thinkn if it measured that high it would be less accurate in the much smaller range that i needed most for quail and chickens so i opted for the half priced one.

I got to look thru some old crazy cute kids pics tho yall wanna see one?

See @jwyles you said i am going all out for Halloween but really my twins are my stepsons and i have to take really good pics for their mothers who dont have custody or regular visitation. I do these big photo ops about every three months and the whole step family and i get on very well for my extra efforts at making them a part of the boys' lives and big events.

Now, now, don't spoil the fantasy! Hot vet assistant was clearly throwing herself at him.

Yes, Sparkle had clearly been cared for. She was spayed and had that collar but no chip and no ID tag. I thought she would just go home but the neighbor put up a found dog sign the next day and I realized that was probably her "sibling" and they'd been dumped. It's unfortunately common where we live. People suck.

Ziggy came from a shelter. He was transported to TN from Louisiana as part of a various ages kitten group and a Petfinder ad showed he'd been "available" at that first shelter since 5 weeks of age. Pretty sure by his knowledge of a human bathroom that he'd lived with people before the shelter.
