➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

What bothered me when I picked up these 3 eggs was that they were cold to the touch.
The original eggs, that I bought on a Friday, were not cold when I bought them.
(I did put the original 2 in the refrigerator.)

I can't make my mind up. :barnie
I kinda want to go back now and pick up a few more eggs from the bottom of the stack but I keep thinking that this whole batch of eggs are probably not good and I should just wait until next week.
Go with your gut. If they feel to cold in the store then don’t buy. If you candle and they don’t look right then pass on them.
I doubt they care if you search through every egg on the counter as long as you don’t drop full trays of eggs in the process.

I don't think you can say the entire batch can be bad because they probably come from various ducks and various days since a duck only lays one egg a day. You inherently have a lot of variation right from the start.

So many variables.

How can you properly run an experiment with so many variables!?!?
I suspect you need to do it with large quantities of eggs so that the variables of date laid and which bird laid the egg become negligible. Let's max out your bator with balut eggs! How many can it hold? 100? 1000? Hatch all the little duckies!

:th
It can hold 3 or 4, max.

Nice job!

You can get different sizes of pipe insulation for different sizes of eggs too.

The pipe insulation is also good for packing shipping eggs
So my flashlight is not as good as I thought.
It is only 500 lumens.
:barnie

But it works pretty well, I think.
