Horses too!? OMG that’s awful!! I don’t think I’m officially allergic to horses but all the fur/being at the barn did bug me somewhat when I used to horseback ride. But I also have asthma so idk if it’s that or allergies or what. But I could be around them and stuff, it just wasn’t exactly great haha

And yeah I think I would too. For a while I was thinking of getting gerbils anyway :lau but I think even if I’m not officially allergic, the dust of most pocket pets would bug me.

I’m glad I’m not allergic to dogs anymore though. I think I might cry haha although I guess I could slay just get a poodle or something if I was??

I think this was meant for @Tesumph ??

But 27!?!?! Wow! :th

That sounds awful!!!

Is that why you mostly only eat/grow your food or would you do that anyway??
Ha yes it was for her.

I grow so I Know it's pesticide free, well might get some drift from my cousins farm across the road. And the county sprayed for gypsy moths this spring.
I also grow to try to be self sustainable... which is a pipe dream... I don't know how the homesteaders did it. I would starve this year if I had to depend on what I grew. Last 2 years I was good for most of the year

It’s okay! Don’t hide! Lol just wasn’t sure and wanted to be sure she saw it haha

Ahh okay that makes sense!! I sometimes try to buy organic fruits/vegetables for that very reason but then I realized it was stupid/a waste of money when I also bought other foods/ingredients that weren’t organic and/or ate junk at the same time haha

I do grow my own vegetables too though. I have a huge garden this year but tbh I haven’t really been eating most of it.

I gotta start. Kind of a waste ha

My family hasn’t really been either. Idk why.

But it is nice knowing where it came from.

And oh wow! Bad year for the garden or?

Even if you don't eat all organic, you cut down on the synthetic pesticide in your system
Bad year for the garden. Cold wet spring and lack of pollinators.

That makes sense! I didn’t even think of just reducing the amount of pesticides. Idk why I had this all or nothing attitude or belief or whatever haha and aw I’m sorry! That sucks :(

We had a very cold, wet spring too but I didn’t plant anything until like mid June anyway... sometimes procrastination has its benefits :lau

But even in June it was still a bit cold and wet so it took a little while for everything to take off.

And even once it did, we’ve had so much rain this year. Some of the plants love it, others not so much.

Ya'll are strange. Cottage cheese is rad. Full fat, though, not that nasty low fat, flavorless rubbery crap. Applesauce, on the other hand, is a bit of a toss of up. Chunky applesauce sounds super gross to me. Smooth or bust. Also, I like rosemary applesauce.
I don't think mixing the two sounds very good at all.

Food allergies sound like a real pain in the arse. I don't think I'm allergic to anything at all, except for maybe cilantro. It tastes like slimy dish soap to me. Disappointing because it smells lovely.

I'm trying to remember the especially sprayed crops. I think it was strawberries and peppers of the sweet bell variety?
