Nahhh. Save money and dig a hole in the backyard! Weren’t we just talking about biodegradable funerals?
Yikes. Sorry for your neighbor! Hope he heals quickly without further complications.
I’ll admit I don’t often practice what I preach on my own wounds lol.
Sure, I’ve never had a wound go septic and needed a limb amputated, but I know it’s a real risk and sh*t happens. I’d rather scare someone into being safe than risk the small chance of a disaster.

And yeah, exactly. I’m usually always careful anyway but still.
Puncture wounds can be an issue and must not be sealed off as they need to heal from the inside. When they are sealed off, it does not allow for proper drainage and can cause serious infections.
Does sealed off include bandaids?
I am confident that what I consider minor for me is not likely what you would consider minor. One of my minor wounds was when I accidentally stabbed myself in the leg. I completely buried the 2 3/4" blade in my leg. I allowed it to bleed well, stopped the bleeding with pressure and it healed fine.

To be fair, the risk of knife wound becoming infected is arguably much less than an animal bite.
Yeah exactly although I’m sure it can happen.
nah you're paranoid because you dont have much real world experience. How to handle even the simplest situations. You need life skills. Employment would be a good start to get you some. I feel for you when something a lil more serious happens. Doesn't seem to affect your typing ability
Excuse me for not wanting it to go septic.

Next time I’ll just let it get infected.
And I think I handled it perfectly fine.
I had already washed and cleaned it and everything by the time I made that post. And I didn’t freak out or scream or cry or anything when he got stuck even though I easily could have. I just got him unstuck and got them home.
Heck, I even stopped by my house first since we were closer to it and checked the chicks. Originally I was gonna drive them home but the keys weren’t there so I figured I’d check the animals while there and clean it there. I was (and still am) more concerned about the animals than I was myself.
I handled it perfectly fine. It was just a bit shocking.
Excuse me for being 100% perfectly calm 110% of the time.

And normally I wouldn’t have even given it second thought beyond washing it and putting Neosporin on it and even now, I’m really not worried about it anymore and handled it just fine, but yes, that post WAS the reason I was extra worried. I think I would know.
I know the chances of it actually getting infected are slim but that person did everything right as well as having a much smaller injury and it STILL landed them in the ER. So yeah, I am a little bit extra worried after reading that.
And I’m typing with my other fingers, much slower than usual, as well as using voice to text for the longer stuff.
I’m really not sure why you continue to be such an ass for no dang reason.
