Someone is still turning squirrels loose out here. This one was definitely a townie. It came right up to me looking for a handout when I went looking for it. That was shortly after I found it trying to break the bird feeder.

i would love squirrels like that all I get are people dumping cats on our property.

I use the same lead poisoning for dumped cats as I do for dumped squirrels.

I let the stray cats sleep in my shed and I feed/water them. It’s not their fault their owners dumped them.

I like the bunnies and birds better than someone else's extra cats that are killing machines and reproducing machines if not fixed. Lead is much cheaper and more effective than capturing, spaying and neutering.

We have never had any strays kill any bunnies or birds... They usually get the moles, voles, mices, and other pests. Maybe your feral or stray cats aren't the same. I know if a stray dog walked on my property, I would care for it like it was my own dog.

I guarantee that your stray cats kill things that you don't realize they are killing. As for stray dogs, I have lost more poultry because people won't keep their dogs home than for any other reason. I love dogs but I will not tolerate other people's dogs on my property.

My neighbors coonhound comes on my property daily and keeps predators away. I love her.
