No, they don't keep them alive or try to. They don't incubate them at the store. They are for eating not hatching. I've never seen live balut eggs. They sit in the refrigerator for days or weeks. I don't even think they are localWow cant believe i just found this! I wonder how they keep the balut alive in the store removing it from incubation?? Perhaps they only leave them out for a certain amount of time..?
