➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I had a broody duck hen leave her eggs for a couple days, then i brought them inside for another day before putting them in my incubator. Several still hatched.
I've read about this with some other members too. Seems ducks do better with cooler temps than chicken eggs.



I've gotten lucky because I have tried this a few times and haven't been able to bring the baluts back from their road trip nap.
Only the very first time and this time have they come back to life.
 
I can't remember for sure but I did email one large hatchery...it might have been Metzer to question them about their balut. I need to go look for that email.
 
@KikisGirls My top three contenders are Bacteria, Malpo, or Congenital Defects (lethal gene, heart defect, etc)
My malpo just like it didn't make it very long.
I vote Malpo.
